Also nicknamed “poodle cat, alien cat, or pixie cat”, this breed of cat was first discovered in the 1960’s by Beryl Cox in Devon, UK. The ancestral father of the breed was named “Kirlee” due to its odd looking curly hair coat. The coat of the Devon Rex is short and wavy. They are medium sized cats with long necks, incongruously shaped heads and large ears. The character of the Devon Rex breed is active, mischievous and playful. Distinctively this cat is intensely loyal and human-devoted.
